From the jackalope of Arizona to the lechuza of South Texas, local legend tells stories that aren’t quite true—but make you do a double-take when you’re walking past an empty building or checking your lock at night. These tales of ghosts, monsters, and vengeful spirits aren’t necessarily scary—but they’re certainly spooky.
Defeat the Local Legends of a segment to earn achievements and unlock rewards. Some of these fights are accessible through Nightsoul Totems, and others can be accessed by selecting them from the map page (Maps > Segments). Some of these Local Legends have special mechanics, such as losing percentage-based HP when hit with certain Xenochromatic Creature attacks or interrupting their attacks when attacked by a player character. These Local Legends can also be fought with the support of other players.
To unlock the battle to defeat the Polychrome Tri-Stars, you’ll need to defeat each member of the group in order. Ensure victory over Vasily first, followed by the other members of the Tri-Stars. The group will respawn after each member has been defeated, so make sure to leave before they get too close!
To disable Local Legends from appearing on your profile, select the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner of the You tab. You’ll be able to manage your privacy settings on the Strava website as well, although it is important to note that this will prevent you from receiving email notifications for the achievement when it is earned.
