How to Create a Veteran Tribute

A veteran tribute can take many forms, from displaying military keepsakes to honoring your loved one’s service. You can also share stories of courage, resilience, and kindness that defined your veteran’s life. These tributes help bridge the gap between your veteran’s service and their legacy at home, making for a meaningful memorial experience.

The Veterans Tribute is a serene and contemplative space that pays homage to all branches of the military with one unifying design. It features trees, seating and a flag plaza, bringing to mind the importance of family, camaraderie and the selfless sacrifice that is part of military service. In addition, 20 glass panels feature quotes on themes of service, camaraderie, honor, leadership and commitment to community.

Those who have served our country with dedication and valor deserve to be remembered for their service and the sacrifices they made in the name of freedom and democracy. Veterans Day commemorates the end of World War I, and President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the holiday in order “to pay appropriate homage to those who served our nation through war or peace.”

Today, the national holiday is observed on Nov. 11 and has deep meaning, but the significance of the day extends well beyond its name, to our nation’s enduring freedoms. In light of the current global conflict, it’s important to remember and celebrate all veterans and the profound impact that their service has had on our lives.
